Visa information
Liechtenstein maintains a complete customs union with
Switzerland, and as such abides by the same visa requirements.
Au pairs from the EEA countries need only apply for a
residence permit, and this needs to be applied for by your host
family no later than two weeks before your arrival from the
Ausländer- und Passamt.
Au pairs from all other countries must apply for a visa and then
a residence permit and we recommend you contact your local Swiss
embassy for further information. Ensure you have a contract in
place and proof of enrolment in a language course before applying
for a visa and residence permit. Once you have a visa, your host
family can apply for a residence permit. The family are obliged to
pay for it. This must be done no later than 4 weeks before arriving
in Liechtenstein from the Ausländer- und Passamt. Refer http://www.apa.llv.li/ for more
information.
